If your partner is not listed as a franchisee, you cannot tell him or her anything about your business.
Look it up in your agreeement.
You signed to say that everything you do or say during the franchise agreement is only to be shared (on a need-to-know basis) with the franchisor.
Nobody else.
Not even your wife.
